Obituary of Manh Daravone

Manh Daravone, age 73 of Philadelphia, passed away on May 14, 2020. Manh was born and raised in Khammouane, Laos where he survived genocide and fought in a secret war against the Communists as a Lieutenant. During the war, he went through Labor Camp and almost died before fleeing with his family to safety in America. They arrived in America looking for a new and better beginning, and worked labor jobs before suffering from a stroke that caused him to be a paraplegic. He enjoyed watching Laos and Thai Karaoke's, being outside, and especially enjoyed his freedom. He is survived by his loving children Amphavanh, Phoumalai, and Souksavanh Daravone, and well as many cherished grandchildren and family members. Services will be held privately.
