Mary Ann Swartz, age 85 of Norwood, passed away on September 18, 2020.

Born in Mount Carmel, PA, Mary Ann was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School class of 1952 where she was a cheerleader, then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Nursing Program in 1955. Mary Ann was a long-time parishioner of Saint Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church and was formerly active with Norwood Swim Team. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Mary Ann also enjoyed lunches and playing pinochle with her girlfriends, casino trips, and an occasional whiskey sour. She was an excellent baker, and enjoyed spending holidays with her family.

She is predeceased by her husband Edmund J. Swartz, son Jeffrey W. Swartz, and parents Edward and Cora Stecker.

Survivors: Loving mother of Edmund J. (Joanie), Michael J., Paul P., Mary Ann (Dean Brant), Elizabeth C., and Gregory E. (Susan), cherished Busia of Ryan, Sean, Carly, and Alexis, dear great Busia of Gianna.

Funeral Mass: 10:15am on Thursday, Sept.24, at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 233 Mohawk Ave, Norwood, PA 19074, and will be broadcasted through ZOOM. Join Zoom Meeting
