Obituary of Carl A. Lorup, III

Carl A. Lorup III, age 68 of Glenolden, passed away at home on October 27, 2020 surrounded by his family.

Carl graduated from Sharon Hill High School class of 1970 before going on to work for Verizon for over 32 years. An avid reader and writer, Carl kept himself occupied by working at the Ridley Township Public Library following his retirement from Verizon. He recently achieved a life-long accomplishment of becoming a published author for his novel titled "Innocent Blood". Carl loved science fiction movies, lighthouses, going to Cape May, and especially loved spending time with his family and his dogs Roxy and Kiki. He was protective and had a wonderful sense of humor. Carl was a longtime member of Folcroft Union Church where he served with the Christian Service Brigade, Youth Group Leader, and currently a Church Elder. He will be missed dearly by many.

He is predeceased by his parents Vera and Carl Lorup, Jr.

Survivors: Beloved husband of over 36 years of Carole Lorup (nee Mizner), loving father of Melanie (Nathan) Hill and Faith Lorup, cherished brother of Deborah and the late Kevin O'Brien, and dear uncle of Suzanne, Anthony, and Zachary O'Brien.

Visitation will be held from 3-4PM on Saturday, November 7th, with a funeral service immediately following at Folcroft Union Church, 500 Primos Ave, Folcroft, PA 19032.

Burial: Private

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made the Folcroft Union Church, 500 Primos Ave., Folcroft PA 19032 or The Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063
