Joseph J. Messina Sr., "Uncle Joe", age 79 of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021 at home.
Joe was a graduate from Mercy Tech in Philadelphia and retired in 1999 from Sunoco.
He is predeceased by his beloved companion JoAnn Conley, parents Jennie and Samuel Messina Sr., and brothers James Messina and Samuel Messina Jr..
Survivors: Loving father of Marie (Michael) Kasuska, Joe (Deanna) Messina, and Karen (John) Saverase, cherished grandfather of Colin, Vanessa, Amanda, Daria, and Angelina, dear brother of Pete Messina, Tina Kelly, and Rita Messina, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass: 10AM on Friday, January 15, at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008
Viewing: 9-10AM on Friday at church
Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Tinicum Township Fire Dept., 99 Wanamaker Ave, Essington, PA 19029
