Frank J. Durso age 74 of Glenolden passed away on June 19, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, Frank was a U.S. Airforce Veteran, serving as an Air Combat Specialist in the Vietnam War.
Frank aka "Pop Pop" is survived by his beloved wife of thirty eight years, Gerry Durso, and his "Brady Bunch" gang of loving children: Frank Durso, Michele(Daniel) Martyn, Joseph (Peggy) Malone, Donna (Joseph) McCloskey, Brian(MaryBeth) Malone, Geri(Fred) Brennan and Nicole(Thomas) McAllister, cherished grandchildren Ashley, Joey, Caitlyn, Brian, Tommy, Joey, Carly, Maggie, Jill, Matt, Liza, Jamie, Kevin, Sarah, Brendan, Rachel, Caroline, Sean, Hope, Molly, Jake, Ava, Kathleen, Lucas, Tommy, Shane and Daniel and great grandchildren Kyle, Madeline, Connor, Grayson, Carter, Ryan and Theodore and also survived by his brother-in- law, sister –in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
As a reflection of his big personality, Frank was often referred to by many as "Ace", "Cheech" and "The Chief," and by his family, Dad & Pop-Pop. He possessed the gift of gab; he could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime – whether you liked it or not. He loved his eclectic collection of records, his kids, grandkids & great grandkids. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, buying technology that he never used, and he never shied away from a good canoli (or two).
Funeral Mass: Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Dr Secane. PA. 19018
Viewing: Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6-8pm and Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 9:30-10:30am both are being held at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home , 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036.
Burial SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA .
