Obituary of Beth Ann Brennan

Please share a memory of Beth Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Beth Ann Brennan was born on March 22nd, 1965 to Michael and Delores Brennan. While attending Archbishop Prendergast she joined the family business at Brennans' Bar in Collingdale and would go on to work many of the bars in the area. After graduation she took classes in early childhood education. Her life changed in 1991 when she gave birth to her only child, Toby, whom she would ultimately raise alone. From that point on she dedicated her life to her child. To support her small family she started waitressing and cooking at diners before changing careers to become a home health aide where she was beloved by all of her clients. While her son was in high school she began to consider his close friends as her children and viewed them as such for the rest of her life, as well as considered their children her grandchildren. After Toby graduated from college Beth left Delaware County to move to Jim Thorpe to be closer to her father. While there she received the last of her adoptive children by adopting a dog whom she rechristened Scoobie. In the summer of 2020 Beth was diagnosed with cancer and her son moved back in to take care of her and would do so until her passing on June 27th, 2021. Beth was both a lover and fighter. She loved hard and would do anything for the people she loved. That included letting her loved ones know when they made mistakes. She would give her opinion without flinching or apology but she never dismissed you for your choice and always welcomed you home when it didn't work out. She may slide a little 'I told you so' into the conversation, but after the chastising and sarcasm you'd receive what Beth signed off her cards with, "Love n Laughter." Beth will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and friend. Visitation: 1-2PM on Thursday, July 15 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA .
