Obituary of Eric B Debrule

Eric Bernard Debrule 41, beloved son of Paul and Valerie Debrule and brother of Danielle Debrule of Newport, RI, died unexpectedly on July 18, 2021 in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania due to complications following surgery. Eric was born in Raleigh, NC, and later moved with his family to Newport where he attended St. Michael's Country Day School and Rogers High School. He then graduated with a B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. He recently divided life between Sicklerville, NJ and Woodlyn, PA.

A good athlete, he excelled in a number of sports from baseball in the Newport Little League to ice hockey, tennis, snowboarding, surfing and later, pickleball. Eric also spent many years learning piano with Ms. Muriel Case. As a personal trainer and sales representative, he was devoted to health, fitness and self-improvement. He found friendship and joy in his new Pennsylvania home with his partner.

He leaves his extended family from his father Paul's birthplace, Liege, Belgium and members of Valerie's family from Memphis, TN ; Uncles Barry and John F. Heaton of Memphis, Aunt Donna Dieffenbach (Greg) of Taylor, MS, cousins Janie and Jeffrey of Austin, TX, and Bryan of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He also leaves his partner, Gina Gedion of Woodlyn, PA. Eric will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at the Debrule home in Newport, RI 02840 on Tuesday, August 17 at 2 pm promptly. The Memorial will be held rain or shine on Tuesday, August 17 promply at 2 pm (hurricanes-no) This will be an outdoor event. Please try to bring your own lawn chair or blanket. We will spray. Paul and Valerie hope you will come and share this time with us.
