He played football with the Cheyenne Indians and played the banjo with Quaker City String Band. Most importantly, it was in South Philadelphia that he met and married the love of his life, Bernice. They were happily married for 63 years before her passing. Jack also enjoyed his home in the Pocono Mountains, especially during hunting season. He developed a love for golf and a passion for music, whether playing, listening or singing. He is predeceased by his wife Bernice Shepeski, son John J. Shepeski III and daughter Bernice Evans.
