Robert A. Batten Sr. "Bob" age 91 a resident of Glenolden for over 66 years passed away on January 7, 2022.

 

He attended Sharon High School in Sharon PA. and he was a proud U.S. Navy veteran.

 

Bob retired from Local #1Tile and Marble Helpers Union prior to continuing on to his own business. He more recently worked at the Home Depot in Clifton Heights, PA where he was a valued employee for 15 years.

 

Bob was a longtime member of St. George Church and a longtime member of the Screen Actors Gild where he had small parts in numerous movies. He held lead parts in numerous shows and enjoyed entertaining.

 

He was a sociable person who was always smiling, he enjoyed the casinos, playing the guitar and riding horses.

 

He is predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Daniels, and son in law, Joseph Mezei.

 

Survivors: Beloved husband of 70 years of Florence Batten, loving father of Robert (Lynda) Batten and Marianne Mezei, dearest father-in-law of Lee Daniels, cherished grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 15.

 

Funeral Mass: 11am Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St George Church, Lamont Ave. Glenolden, PA. 19036

 

Viewing: 9-10:30am Saturday at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036

 

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA
