Obituary of Deborah Elizabeth Miller

Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Deborah Elizabeth Miller, age 67 of New Castle, DE, formerly of Glenolden, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2022.

Born in Chester, PA, Deborah was an Interboro High School graduate, class of 1972. In her younger years she played softball and was especially great at horseshoes, nearly everyone challenged her in horseshoes but never did they beat her. Prior to moving to Delaware, Deb worked at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, the regular customers always asked for her and loved chatting with her. A breast cancer survivor, Deb always remained positive and used her life to be helpful to many, including neighbors, friends and family. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, and completing projects around the house including yardwork and gardening. Most of all, Deb enjoyed caring for and training her many pets. She was an avid pet rescuer and owner, loving all types of animals. With a big heart and contagious smile, it was no secret that Deb was the "Fun Aunt" to her many nieces and nephews. She was the first to express excitement for family gatherings, and even the first to volunteer to dress in costume for her nieces and nephews' birthday parties. Along with being a wonderful Aunt, she was also a devoted sister and friend to many. Family and friends will always remember Deb's laugh. She will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Elizabeth Miller, and brother Charles "Jim" McCabe. Survivors: Dear sister of Richard (Kathleen) Miller, Rebecca (William) Picardi, and James (Mildred ) McCabe, sister in law of Dolores McCabe, devoted friend of 32 years of Mildred O'Donnell, dear friend of Charles McIntosh, loving caretaker of her fur babies Creamsicle, Macy, Jodi, and Delilah, as well as cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
