Obituary of Cheryl A. Brooks

Cheryl A. Brooks, age 71 of Folcroft, passed away on March 10th, 2022. A graduate of Notre Dame High School, Cheryl worked as a caretaker for Devine Providence and was a long-time parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church where she taught CCD for many years. A devoted wife and mother of 9, Cheryl dedicated her life to taking care of others. An avid gardener, she cherished time being outside listening to the birds. She loved singing, dancing, and most importantly laughing. She is predeceased by her husband William Brooks, children Nicholas, William, April, and Victoria Brooks, parents Edward and Mary Dougherty, and siblings Earl and Joseph Dougherty. Survivors: Loving mother of Christine (Mauri Lawler) Tierney, Mary Anne Hicks, Cheryl Lynne Brooks, Thomas Brooks, and Robert Brooks, dear sister of Claire (Frank) Acquarola, Christine Kidd, Claudia Ippoliti, Edward (Rita) Dougherty III, Cynthia (Jack) Campbell, Cecelia McCabe, Constance (Robert) Taylor, Charles (Fran) Dougherty, Colleen (Wayne) Kennedy, and David (Chrissy) Dougherty, as well as 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: 11Am on Fri. 3/18 at St. Gabriel's Church, Norwood PA Visitation: 10-11AM on Fri at church prior to mass Burial: Private
