George A. Wressig, age 75 of Folcroft, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, George was a graduate of Collingdale High School Class of 1964 before enlisting in the US Army, serving 16 months in Korea. He married his sweetheart Nancy and went on to work for Northwest Airlines, now Delta Airlines, for 37 years before his retirement in 2005. George was a volunteer firefighter for over 50 years for Collingdale Fire Company #2. He was also an Elder at Woodland Ave. Church in Southwest Philadelphia. He loved spending time down the shore and at the Poconos, and tinkering with things. He is predeceased by his daughter Ellen Wressig Rick. Survivors: Beloved husband of over 55 years of Nancy Wressig (nee Butler), cherished father of John Wressig, dear brother of Betty Jane Bonner, Ted (Nancy) Butler, Sharlene (Mickey) Geary, Mark (Bernadette) Butler, Charles (Elizabeth) Butler, Barbara Warren, Janice Taylor, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11AM on Friday, 4/29 at Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S Old Middletown Rd, Media, PA 19063 Viewing: 10-11AM on Friday at church Burial: Middletown Presbyterian Church Cemetery
