Obituary of Anne M. Slater

Anne M Slater (née Canty) age 91 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on July 6, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Marian Canty. Anne graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Moylan and Millersville University with a degree in library science. Following college, Anne worked briefly as a librarian. She was employed by Cigna in later years. Anne enjoyed attending auctions in Lancaster County, collecting quilts and was an avid reader.

Anne was predeceased by her husband David K. Slater, daughter, Elizabeth Miller as well as a brother William A Canty.

She is survived by her son in law John A. Miller and step granddaughter Maura Miller, sister, Marian Kessler and brother, John Canty, as well 7 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
