Edward R. Palutis Sr., age 74 of Norwood, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. Edward was a hardworking, dedicated, loving man who cherished his time spent with his family. He was deeply proud of his grandson Dominic. Edward worked his career in maintenance for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia before retiring. He then enjoyed his time at the shore, long drives, watching and cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams; especially the Eagles, all while enjoying coffee. He is predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Palutis (nee Daniels) brother Robert Esser, sister Elizabeth Esser, and nephew Michael Ferrell. Survivors: Devoted husband of over 52 years of Carol Palutis (nee Carr), loving father of Coleen Velardi, Edward R. Palutis Jr., and Carol Ann Palutis, cherished Pops of Dominic Velardi, dear brother of Mary Roberts, as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral Mass: 11AM on Thursday 2/23 at St. Gabriel's Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood PA. Viewing: 9-10:30AM on Thursday 2/23 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA
