Obituary of John P Metts

John P Metts, born in Darby, Pa on November 16, 1960. He was a graduate of Penn Center Academy, Orleans Technical School and attended Delaware County Community College to complete his Electrical Training where he was on the Dean's list. John was an Landlord /General Contractor for Blue Print Contractors of Darby, Pa. and then took on the role of Code Enforcement Officer for Darby Township, Glenolden , Pa John's passion was his service to the community of Darby, Borough where he also served as a Councilman. John was always to the immediate aide of the Senior Citizen population and Single parents both Male and Female. Landscaping was his hobby as well a licensed gun enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Giavonni M. Metts, Mother, Alberta Metts, father Cleo Metts Sr. Sister in law Lillian Metts, Sister in law Barbara Wilson and Brother in law Edward Hughes. John was survived by his wife Anethia De Von Metts, daughter Anya' D. Metts, sons, Joshua D. Metts, Andre' C. Jones, Jamere P. Metts Sr. and John P.Metts (Nicole Metts). Nine grandchildren. Sister Celestine Wilson-Hughes, brother Aston (Sonny) Wilson. Brother in law Loren Bussey (Sophia Bussey) and Edwin Bussey (Geneva Bussey). John was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, brother in law and friend to many. October 2, 2023 the last light went out in his mansion as he received his wings. Heavens Newest Star has entered the Pearly Gates.
