Beatrice (Bea) L. Garrity, 90 Bea Garrity of Ridley Township went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2023. She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John (Jack) W. Garrity. Bea was born in Darby, the youngest of four sisters, grew up in Colwyn, and graduated from Sharon Hill High School. After graduation, she worked at General Electric in Philadelphia, where she met the love of her life, Jack Garrity. A few years later, they were married in 1957, and shortly thereafter, Jack and Bea began their family. Bea dedicated her life to her husband and to raising their children in a loving Christian home. Bea viewed her life as one whose purpose was to be a good and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior. She was actively involved in every church she attended. Her service included singing in the church choir, nursery, deaconess, youth group leader, as well as serving those in need. Bea was also a faithful prayer warrior. Bea developed a strong bond with a group of girls in high school. That relationship grew into a club that has continued to meet regularly for over 70 years! Bea also enjoyed participating in various church activities, as well as attending church retreats. Survivors: Mother of Paul (Margie) Garrity, Donna (Craig) Weber, David (Lori) Garrity, and Keith (Eileen) Garrity. Grandmother of Alex (Kirstie), Emily (Clayton), Traci (Cameron), Stephanie (Nick), Christan (Shawnee), Michael, and Catherine. Great-grandmother (lovingly called G-Mom) of Wesley, Liam, Blake, Ada, and Gabby. Memorial Service: Saturday, December 16, 2023, at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 South Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 11:00 am and the service will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the service, a luncheon will be provided at Folcroft Union Church, 500 Primos Avenue, Folcroft, PA 19032. The luncheon will begin at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bea's name to either Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
