Obituary of Hazel M Hammond

Hazel M. Hammond, (nee Trexler) age 96 a longtime resident of Sharon Hill went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024. Hazel was born and raised in Laureldale, PA. She was the valedictorian of Muhlenburg Township High School and continued on in her education at Gettysburg College where she studied German, Spanish and Math and Kutztown State University for Elementary teaching credits. She taught first grade at Lansdowne-Aldan Elementary school. Hazel was formerly active with Sharon Hill Public Library and served as a Board President. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She is predeceased by her husband George W. Hammond, daughters Heather L. Hammond and Holly Sue Hammond, siblings Carolyn (Glenn) Woods, Ruth (Richard) Boyer and her Sister in law's Eleanor (William) Wiser and Sylvia Shupard, parents Rev. Mark (Blanche) Trexler. Survivors: Brother Rev. Kenneth (Jeanne) Trexler and brother in law Ralph Shupard III and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service: 10am Thursday February 22, 2024 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S.
