Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Susan E Pulcher, whom we all cherished deeply. Born in Darby, PA, on April 26th, 1956, and raised in Drexel Hill, Susan was a proud graduate of Upper Darby High School and spent the last 40 years of her life as a beloved member of the Collingdale community. After retiring from Academy Park High School in 2001, where she dedicated 12 years as a school aid, Susan continued to serve her community with passion. Her commitment was evident through her involvement with Legacy Station 42 since October 2002 and her Life Membership at Collingdale Fire Company - Station 33. Her leadership as the former Chairman of the Board of Directors at Station 42 was inspirational, and her presence at company meetings and community events will be profoundly missed. Susan's unwavering support alongside her late husband within the firehouse and the Collingdale athletic club was a testament to her generous spirit. Whether volunteering at the snack bar or cheering on at sporting events, she was always there, offering a helping hand. Her advocacy work, especially during election times at the polls, was another way she demonstrated her care for our community. Susan was a devoted mother to Chris and an adoring grandmother to Aiden and Ethan. Her love knew no bounds, and her joy in spending time with her grandkids was immense. These moments were precious to her, from taking Aiden to train stations for his beloved photo sessions to cheering on Ethan at his sporting events. Susan's zest for life extended to her love of travel, exploring museums, and a deep interest in history, which she enjoyed sharing with friends and family. Her big heart and caring nature touched many lives, and her absence leaves a void that will be hard to fill. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years and high school sweetheart of Richard Pulcher, her parents James and Malinda MacMullin, sister Patricia MacMullin, brothers James MacMullin, Robert and Karen MacMullin, in-laws Richard and Catherine Pulcher, and fur baby (dog) Sammie. Survivors: Loving mother of Christopher (William Stewart) Pulcher, cherished grandmother of Aiden and Ethan Pulcher, and their mother Jennifer Zimmermann, dear sister Mary (John) Kelly, in-laws Betsy (Jack) Siegman, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and fur baby(dog) Noel. Funeral Service: 11 AM on Saturday, February 24th, at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA. Visitation: 9-11 AM on Saturday, February 24th at the funeral home. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Collingdale Fire Company Station #33, 510 Clifton Ave, Collingdale, PA 19023
