In loving memory of our dear father, Frederick J. Schartner Jr., who departed from this world on 3/13/24, at the age of 75, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family as he embarked on his journey to eternal peace. Frederick, affectionately known as Joe, led a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Born to Frederick Sr. and Mary Schartner on 5/17/48, he grew up alongside his beloved siblings Anne Mae, Patricia, and Nancy, forming cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Fred retired from Boeing where he worked as a sheet metal worker and formerly as an auto mechanic. Fred was a warm-hearted and accepting individual, known for his kindness and generosity toward others. He possessed a rare gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued, regardless of their background or circumstance. He had an infectious sense of humor and a knack for making people laugh, brightening even the darkest of days with his wit and charm. His compassion touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him. Music was one of Fred's greatest passions, and he found solace and joy in playing the guitar. His musical talent brought comfort and inspiration to those around him, and he generously offered his home as a rehearsal space for local musicians, providing them with a supportive environment to nurture their craft. Fred was a devoted believer in God and Jesus Christ, whose faith guided him throughout his life's journey. His unwavering trust in the divine brought him strength and comfort, especially during times of difficulty and loss. Fred was preceded in death by his wives and childhood sweetheart, Georgette Gaul Schartner, who passed away in 1974, and Denise Worrell Schartner, who passed away in 2018. He was also preceded in death by his son, Frederick J. Schartner III, his grandson, Frederick J. Schartner IV, as well as his siblings Anne Mae Smith, Patricia Schappell, and Nancy Natrin. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them. Fred leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by his surviving children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, dear father. Your legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
