Obituary of Kathryn B Rogocki

Kathryn Benice Rogocki, (nee Moncrief) an original resident of the newly developed Briarcliffe section of Glenolden, age 88, died on January 3, 2018. She is forever together, sweethearts again, with the love of her life, her husband of 67 years, Joseph Rogocki, deceased on July 18, 2016. She had immense love for her children and cherishing her memory are Catherine Frost, Mary Ellen (Steve) Overstreet, Joann Kroll and Joseph. Beloved Nanny, she was very much loved by her granddaughters Samantha Overstreet and Rebecca Rogocki, the greatest joys of her life. She is also survived by her most dear niece, Patricia Wiechec. She knew she was loved and will be missed immensely. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Washington Moncrief and Catherine Moncrief Horning (nee Gakeler) and loving step-daughter of the late Philip Horning. She is also predeceased by her sister, Margaret Wiechec. Kathryn was a homemaker whose main focus was her husband and children. Family was everything to her and she was happiest when they were doing things together. She would sacrifice anything to put her family's needs first. It was the simple pleasures in life she enjoyed the most. Her love of animals ensured a warm home for our dear pets over the years. She took pride in her many indoor plants. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting, puzzle solving, collecting nutcrackers and her greatest passion of collecting teddy bears. She was a great home cook and could do wonders with leftovers. We can be grateful that she and our dad are forever together once again. They were always by each other's side and loved each other dearly. She is in peace now with a part of each of our hearts with her. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12:30pm at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S.
