Mark S. Eckman, age 57 of Norwood passed away on March 10, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, May 4, 1960 and raised in Upper Darby. Mark graduated Upper Darby High School, the Class of 1979. Mark was a Life Member of the Cardington Fire Company. He worked as a Machinist in the Propeller Shop at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. He enjoyed working with wood and was a talented handyman. Mark would take pleasure in trips to the Mountains, working on cars, being outdoors and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents Fritz & Pat Eckman and his grandson Connor James Moore. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Sherri Anne Eckman; loving children Heather (Jason) Moore, Stacy (Mark) Tawney, Kelly (Ed) Glatts and Mark Eckman; 6 cherished grandchildren; dear brother of Fred (Meg) Eckman, Linda (Carroll) Watson and Sharon (Rich) Cahill; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Service for Mark will be 10 AM on Saturday, March 17th at the McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden. Viewing is from 7 to 9 PM on Friday, March 16th and 9 to 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial is at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 W Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to the Mark Eckman College Fund c/o TD Bank. Online Condolences may be posted at www.mcgfh.com
