Obituary of Sandra L. Clancy

Sandra L. Clancy "Sandi", age 70 of Prospect Park, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2018 with her family by her side. Sandi was born and raised in Darby Pennsylvania. Went to Elementary school at Blessed Virgin Mary in Darby and Graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in 1966. Sandra meet her husband John as childhood friends living on 6th Street in Darby. They started dating in high school and were married in 1969. Sandra and John soon moved to Prospect Park where they would raise their children John and Colleen. Sandi was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary Darby Fire Patrol #2. She also was secretary at St. Gabriel's Church in Norwood for many years. She enjoyed cooking, volunteering delivering meals on wheels and was very active with the Schoolhouse Senior Center in Folsom, PA and Friendship Circle in Darby, PA. But what gave her the most joy was spending time with her Grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching them how to cook, shop, and treasured the times her granddaughters helped in the community with her. She is predeceased by her parents William and Peggy Trimborn, sister Helen Trimborn, and granddaughter Brittany Jaworsky. Survivors: Beloved wife of John Clancy, loving mother of John (Shelly) Clancy and Colleen Karolyi, and grandmother of Caitlin and Mackenzie Karolyi and Jimmy Clancy. Funeral Service: 7:30PM on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036.
