Please share a memory of Philip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Philip J. Falcone Jr. illuminated the lives of those around him with a warmth and love that knew no bounds. At the age of 85, surrounded by the embrace of his adoring family, he was literally given a standing ovation while being received into heaven and reunited with his late family members on March 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering devotion to his loved ones. Born and raised in the close-knit community of the Garret Hill section of Rosemont, PA, Phil was the beloved son of the late Philip and Angela Falcone Sr. He carried with him the values of family, honor, and service throughout his life. A proud graduate of West Catholic High School, Phil went on to serve his country with distinction as a member of the U.S. Navy, embodying the spirit of patriotism and duty. Phil retired from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. He dedicated himself to a career as supervisor of Penn Mail Service, where his diligence and leadership were evident to all who worked alongside him. Yet, it was not just in his professional endeavors that Phil made an impact; he was equally renowned for his boundless enthusiasm for creating and hosting entertainment within his organizations and communities. Music, singing, and dancing were not just pastimes for Phil but expressions of his joyful spirit and zest for life. Affectionately known as Pop-Pop to many, Phil's heart was as vast as his smile, touching the lives of countless individuals who were fortunate enough to know him. His love extended beyond blood ties to embrace all who crossed his path. He cherished his role as a father and reveled in the joys of grandparenthood, finding profound fulfillment in the laughter and love of his grandchildren. In the tender embrace of his family, Phil found his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynne Falcone, his son Eric Falcone, and his brothers Joseph and Richard Falcone. Yet, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his cherished children: Kristina (Greg) Clark, Kimberly (Patrick) Staub, Kelly (Edward) Butkus, and Christopher (Susanne) Falcone, as well as his adored grandchildren, Gregory (Alexandra), Raymond, Joanna, James, Michael, Victoria, Mia, Jaclyn, Rebecca, Matthew, and Sophia. Phil is also survived by his dear sister, Regina McCaw, sisters-in-law Joan and Barbara Falcone, brother-in-law, Jeff McCaw, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Funeral Mass to Celebrate Philip's life will take place at 11am, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, PA 19086.
